The body, religion, tradition, violence, eroticism and beauty keep finding their way into my work. What interests me is not only the imagery itself, but also the physicality of the materials and surfaces.
I’m drawn to contrasts — the sacred and the sensual, tenderness and brutality. I like the tension that happens when beauty starts to feel unsettling, or when something intimate suddenly takes on a larger, almost monumental presence.
